This is the exhibition catalog from the 2008 exhibition held at the National Museum of Art, Osaka, and the National Art Center, Tokyo, featuring Emily Kame Kngwarreye (c. 1910-1996), an Aboriginal Australian abstract painter and a representative of contemporary Australian art.

I remember being overwhelmed, feeling a sense of life and passion, as well as a strange tranquility.

Sculptures other than paintings are also introduced, and they are interesting even now. Elton John is said to own some of her works.
