The John F. Kennedy Half Dollar was designed and struck in honor of President Kennedy after he’s was assassinated in Dallas Texas 1963. The US Mint making this a one year type with 90% silver composition and first year issue. These coins all have very nice toning and has never been opened since assembly by “Capital” who had contracts with the U S Mint. Kennedy Half Dollars after this first year were 40% silver.
